Okemo’s Music Festival Event

Now there’s another reason to visit our Vermont bed and breakfast, located less than five miles from Jackson Gore and Okemo Mountain Resort! (As if wonderful breakfasts made from local ingredients, the bottomless cookie jar, and the backyard swimming pool weren’t enough already.)

Come one, come all to New England’s premier tribute music event, Okemo’s All Come Home Music Festival! Starting July 12th and running through July 14th, 2018, this festival is packed with three days of great music, delicious food, and fun for the entire family. This event is rain or shine and seating is general admission, so feel free to pack a blanket or chairs. Jackson Gore is a great place to see a show and the Adventure Zone and Evolution Bike Park will be open during the festival, so get ready to dance and get ready to play!

Thursday starts off at 6pm with Studio Two – The Beatles Before America, a group paying tribute exclusively to the early years of The Beatles, haircuts and left handed bass included. Taking the stage at 8pm is Super Diamond. This Neil Diamond approved tribute band tackles Neil’s greatest hits; “Sweet Caroline,” “America,” “Cracklin’ Rosie,” and many more.
Friday is a full day starting at 12pm with Get Up Jack, a retro-romp of joyous and energetic Irish tunes and The Tricksters, a Vermont group with a repertoire spanning from the late 80’s through the top 40 of today, at 2pm. Friday night features Start Making Sense, a seven piece Talking Heads tribute group, with moves that will have you mistaking the front man for David Byrne himself. Later, enjoy Space Oddity – The Ultimate David Bowie Experience beginning at 8pm. This multi-media production featuring David Brighton and his incredible band take you on a journey through the highlights of Bowie’s career.

Wake up and do it all over again on Saturday. Saturday definitely has the most unique array of music. Starting at 12pm is Summers with Sammy, featuring adventurous and melodic solos amongst a unique blend of reggae. Following Summers with Sammy is Fox on the Run. Four professional musicians with sounds reminiscent of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings and alike newer artists Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson. Josh Panda Misty Mountain Top – Led Zepplin Tribute takes the stage at 6pm. This all Vermont band is a must see for all you Led Zepplin fans. Almost Queen closes out the festival starting at 8pm. This production is considered the most authentic Queen live show since the original Queen. This show is everything essential queen, the mustache, the long hair, leather pants. It is Queen to a T.
