Cornelia's Room (room #1) - Queen bed, private bath, & TV. Named after Cornelia Otis Skinner, famous performer and writer. The inn was the Skinner homestead for 100 years! Original wide pine floors dating from 1778.

Rev. Warren's Room (room #3) - Seen here made into twin beds, this charming room can also be an enormous King bed! Private bath. Named after the Universalist preacher, surveyor, active Proctorville citizen and long-time proprietor of his beloved "Valemont."

George's Room (room #4) - Queen bed, private bath & TV. George was a seafarer, rapscallion, creative problem-solver and oldest son of the Rev. Warren Skinner. Why is there a 5 lb. bag of sugar in this room? You will have to read about it when you visit us!

The four second floor bedrooms in the oldest section are named after noted members of the Skinner family who owned the property over 100 years beginning in the mid 1830's. the two first floor sleeping rooms recall the Inn's social contribution as a respite for weary travelers and a safe house for freedom seeking slaves. The Newer additions to the houses are renovated suite and two more generous guest rooms. These accommodations speak to the current innkeepers' rich family heritage
One guestroom and all public rooms are accessible to those with physical challenges.
The Solarium, one of three intimate dining rooms, was once the inn's greenhouse. Morning sunlight greet guests for breakfast while candlelight reflections set the tone for romantic dinners. Meals are healthful, bountiful, and beautifully presented. Dining is available to Inn guests only or upon special pre-arrangements.
The spacious Main Parlor welcomes guests with hors d'oeuvres by the fireside in winter. All year long, folks delight in the Puzzle Chest, a large, rustic antique box filled with intriguing challenges. Four times a year, talented artists from around the county exhibit at the Inn, providing an ever changing decor.
Put your feet up, watch TV, or read one of the many books from the Inn's library. The Pub Room, with its over-stuffed furniture and marble gas stove provides, the perfect spot to relax.

Named after Great Great Aunt Anna Hill whose husband held her captive in a castle in Europe. She escaped & with nothing but the clothes on her back found her way back to America.

| Nanna's Suite (room #7) - Twin beds, gas fireplace, TV VCR. Nanna Stevens, mother of two, loved the organ & piano, & fancied her grandsons.
| Boppie's Room (room #8, no picture available) - Queen bed. A descendant of cobblers Grandpa Stevens carried on the family trade. See his cobbler's bench in the Inn's common room.
| Maya's Room (room #9) - Queen bed, private bath & TV. Named for Maya Angelou to represent all those who seek freedom from oppression. Maya reflects the era when the house was a stop ion the Underground Railroad.
| Old Stage room (room #10) - Antique oak Double bed, private bath & TV. Remembers the Inn's earliest history and salutes the stamina of those who traveled by horse-drawn coach.

Ludlow-Reading Loop - 32 miles

This route begins at the Golden Stage Inn and takes you along the beautiful Black River in Cavendish. In Reading (Felchville) you may stop at a country store then head toward South Reading into "the Alps" region where you may even see a moose! A twisting descent lands you in Plymouth and onto Route 100 South along the Lakes. Turn left onto RT 103 S and 100 S into Ludlow, continue into Proctorsville and back to the Golden Stage Inn! Our full-size swimming pool awaits!
Golden Stage New Hampshire Loop - 54 miles
You could call this one the covered Bridges Tour as you will be able to experience up to 3 covered bridges including this country¹s longest bridge in Windsor, VT.

Route Map: provided with all tours indicated. You choose your route. Places to stop for drinks and food will be marked as well as "Cyclist-friendly" rest stops. There is NO sag wagon, you are on your own to explore at your own pace.

Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts, www.fletcherfarm.org offering adult classes now through May. One-day and two-day classes are conveniently held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends. Many classes are for beginners with no prior experience. Tuition fees are reasonable and registrations may be made over the telephone using Visa or MasterCard.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT: 50% of the total stay is required as a deposit to receive confirmation guarantee. Reservation deposits should be made by personal check within 10 days of the initial booking. Specials require full payment as deposit.
Reservations made fewer than 7 days in advance of anticipated arrival may be confirmed by credit card only.
CANCELLATIONS: reservation deposits are refundable, less a 10% fee (of reservation total), if notice of cancellation is received at least 20 days prior to arrival. Deposits are NON-refundable if cancellation is made within 20 days of arrival. There will be no refund or credit given for downgrading a reservation, either in size or length of stay, within 20 days of arrival.
Vacation Interruption Plan (VIP) is available. This is NOT an insurance policy. VIP is available only at time of reservation deposit. 8% of Room & Service total, before tax, is added to your reservation deposit. This 8% is non-refundable. VIP allows a guest to cancel their reservation up to 2:00 PM the day before their scheduled arrival and receive a full reservation deposit refund.
CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT: Check-in time is between 3:00 - 9:00 PM and Check-out time is by 11:00 AM. Please note: we will be pleased to check you in early if your room is ready. Kindly plan your arrival accordingly.
