Vermont Maple Sugar Association’s Open House Weekend

Did you know it takes 40 gallons of maple sap to create just one gallon of maple syrup?! Tour some of the many sugar shacks across the state on March 22nd and 23rd. A state staple, maple syrup is celebrated not only for its sweetness but also for its history, economic value, and the culture surrounding it. Satisfy your sweet tooth with many of the sugaring events and treats, and learn all about the tapping and boiling process. Once you see how much work goes into a single pint of syrup, you’ll savor every taste of maple! You can purchase local maple syrup at the Golden Stage Inn Bed and Breakfast as well.

Salt River Revue Raises The Roof

An event within walking distance of the Golden Stage Inn Bed & Breakfast!  Tap your toes to this lively five-person band specializing in roots music – from Latin American to Celtic to Old Time blues and folk!  The band features mandolin, fiddle, slide guitar, recorder and more.  $10 get you a seat on a pew in Gethsemane Church in Proctorsville, and supports the continuation of the Raise the Roof Concert Series.

Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge 2014 at Okemo Mountain
